DIAMOND and GOLDEN JUBILEE ALUMNI MEET 2012 in IITR Formerly University of Roorkee

As I received the invitation to attend the diamond and golden celebrations in Roorkee I was in the seventh heaven of delight .I told this fact to my wife and son  and they readily accepted my this proposal.I am grateful to my wife that in spite of being not in good health agreed to attend this function .I am saying so because in Feb  she had a severe brain stroke and by the grace of God she was treated in Max Hospital and recovered and less damage is done .The doctors say that full recovery is achieved with the passage of time,I am also thankful to Sh.R K . SABHERWAL  BE MECHANICAL 1963 BATCH who accepted to attend  the above function.So we started from Delhi at 6.30 am on 24Th  Nov  and reached Meerut at 8Am and then from Meerut to Roorkee at 11 Am .We had a TATA  Arya car and the roads are good so we enjoyed the journey .On arrival at Roorkee we were received by Alumni  and staff members.We were allotted two rooms  in  Khosla International House ( Formerly Afro Asian Hostel.We were given a kit containing Momonto diary gifts on the first day.We had lunch and dinner and tea and snacks and settled .On 25 Th visited Anushruti  and attended Annual day celebrations and 63 rd Annual General Body Meeting .In the elections for members of executive committee I have also been nominated as nominative member for year 2013 - 2014..Shri R.K Sabherwal was nominated from Mech year 1063 batch.We took part in games and cultural programmes ,The programme was so nice that I could not resist my feeling and started dancing on the tune of song and Qwali being sung with rhythm.We received facilitation's from President of Alumni Association.This function ended with vote of thanks to the chair.We met most of our old friends and batch mates and old fond memories gave us sublime pleasures of the old golden days when we were at this University of Roorkee about 50 years ago.

Condolances

Recently I and my wife was returning from morning walk we were informed by our neighbour that respected resident of M Block saket Chaudhary  Ram Sewak Ji has left for his heavenly abode.We  were shocked to hear this and then we entered their house and waited for the body which was brought from Max Hospital.We paid our Shrandajali to the departed soul.I attended the funeral at Lodhi Road and came back with heavy heart.While returning I was remembering the good behaviour of chaudhary ji and As I used to pass through from  his M 74 house he usally called me and used to talk about Orai UP which was his constituency.He was MP and Health state Minister in Indra Gandhi s Time.On 2nd August 2012 I attended the prayer meeting at Sai International Auditorium Lodhi Road and paid homage to the departed pious soul and we pray to GOD that THE Almighty may give  enough courage to his family members to bear this unbearable loss .

There is a wide Nallah running through Sadula jab Pvr D bloc,k
H Block L block ,Mblock saket .Its catchment area is great and all the slush and industrial waste and other silt is continousely being dumped in this Nallah with the result it is full of silt and other dirty materials which are the breeding ground for mosquitoes and insects.The present condition of Nallah is pitiable its boundary wall has  fallen down about 2 years ago and slope wall is also crumbling.Now this has become health hazard.As there is no barricading any person or child may fall into this open Nallah and great mishap can occur .I on behalf M Block NE Saket Cultural and Niwasi Welfare Association Saket has sent letters to CM Delhi MLA and MP  of the area but no action is being taken to clean it and concstuction of boundary wall .We have suggested that it should be covered as been done in so many colonies .But MCD says that it is an expensive project.To this question our answer is that it is not so expensive than human loss .We again request that swift action in the matter be taken . We have sent an application in the public grievances commission NCT Delhi but still waiting for any redress.More the delay in this direction more the risk please note and act in the interest of residents. 

ILLEGAL PARKING FEE CHARGES BY MCD NEAR AMITY SCHOOL SAKET 

I on behalf of residents of M-block and some of the other residents of other blocks applied for the     relief from parking fee being charged by the contractor of MCD at the location from M- block gate to the main road around Amity International School we applied this complaint before  the public grievance commission Vikas Bhawan ITO Delhi. We have been attending the court since September 2011 up to MAY 2012. Due to the fact that there is no space left if the cars are parked on the pavements of the roads along the boundaries of Amity and GOVERNMENT school around the safal booth . Where the residents and senior citizens can walk if the cars are parked.along the pitching portion of the road.?I on behalf the residents who have signed the complaint that the parking fee be waved of in favour of public interest. IN the past MCD has never imposed the parking fee on this site..We therefore request that the orders should be passed  in order to give relief to the public at large.

From a humble common man Rajesh Khanna rose to the height of super star by dint of hard work and dedication.We will remember him due to his great songs and simplicity.His acting in all hit films show his ability Nation is devoid and suffered a greatest loss due to untimely demise of the super star.I pay my heartfelt condolence and pray to THE ALMIGHTY to give enough courage to his family members and fans all over the world to bear this unbearable loss

CHEATING BY THE PLACEMENT COMPANY

We contacted First Target Fast, placement, Housekeeping and Manpower company (TA-130/A, IInd Floor, Tuglakabad Extn, Near Gurudwara, New Delhi 110019. Phone No: 9810908911, 65099870) for domestic help for my wife who was recovering from the stroke on 16/2/2012. The promise was that First Target Fast will provide Domestic & Housekeeping help for one year. If the Maid discontinues service or we decide to fire her, they will get us a replacement within 2 weeks at no additional cost. The company would provide up to 3 replacements for a year.

The maid servant provided worked from 16/2/2012 up to 10/5/12. After the departure of the maid servant we have telephoned the Director of firm Shri Shukla 9810908911  for sending the replacement immediately. Now about one and half month has elapsed but no replacement has been sent to us. Mr. Shukla refuses to take our calls and has made mild threats if we pursue this matter further based on his connections with Police etc.

At the time of agreement we have deposited Rs 17500/ which will be refunded if the firm violates this condition. The firm has harassed us so much that we have to come to your honour for getting back our hard earned money which we would have used for procuring requisite medicines We hope that you will us for getting the refund. The above company is deliberately harass the we the ailing senior citizens.
