A TERRIBLE STORY OF PARTITION PERIOD OF 1947
As I was walking with my old friend in the park the issue arose about the hardships the refugees faced in 1947 when the partition took place between India and Pakistan .the most sufferers were the people who migrated from the portion which is now termed as Pakistan .My friend told me that when the partition took place the people with majority community started looting the properties of minority people.These people included Muslims and Pathans.My friend narrated like this....."I along my two brothers were the residents of Rawalpindi nearby area .In those days the Hindu population used live in Ahatas as they used to feel that the Ahatas were safe for them as these ahatas were pucca structures and the other population were in kacha structures.As the trouble started the Pathans and others raided those ahatas and brutally killed the young and old alike with rifles katas or revolvers and knives The narrator told me that he along with his younger brothers hid themselves in a room or behind the trunks or other shelter deeming it to be safe.the Pathans and others started shooting with guns on the door and as bad luck would have it the bullet shot hit his mother at the chin and the whole face was blown off and it appeared that some pig was hanging on the meat shop.other bullet shots hit his father at two or three places on his body .as he came out of the hidden space he found his father just bleeding and he pointed out towards the mother and died on the spot.now the narrator ran from that place along with his brothers and entered in Cantonment military area.Seeing some children the military helped them and kept them in a room and asked them that they should bolt the room from inside .they remained there for three days and provided the meals etc.Then they asked them to go to camp .They started and found some miscreants on the way on the other side of the wall and on the way they noticed a mother of some young person about 25 years .they were asked that they should accept Islam .The mother told the pathans that if her son accepted then she would also convert .As they inquired from the son he refused then they shot him down and took the mother along with them and what happened afterwards no body knew.Any how the narrator reached Ambala be the Train which were being run for exchange of population between India and Pakistan The narrator was in tears when he was telling his story and hardships He lost his parents and all belonging in West Pakistan.The narrator was in tears while he was telling his sad story.So many people suffered and so many innocent lives were lost.

I'm a humble blog reader from Pakistan and may be just of the age of your son.
The partition never comes with good or memorable stories; whether it is between countries or a family members.
The story you narrated is really a sad one; but the stories we heard and read of the same era told us that Muslims were treated even badly than you mentioned in your story.
This dilemma was even more serious for the Muslims trying to migrate from India to Pakistan.
I feel sorry in advance if something from my comments hurt you or your feeling; but the fact are fact and no body can hide these facts.

I appreciate Shahid Mehmood Butt. Each such story is laced with sadness and reflection of a poor culture we all so baost about. I have till date not learnt even if it was a Partition or a Seperation, why each one had to kill other one ? Who created this dissension ? Surely, ambitions of two most prominent faces - M A Jinnah and Pandit Nehru. Both were ambitious to be the "First" Prime Minister. It was their personal ambitions which created gulf between two communities. Shame on us. Shame on our Culture. Shame on our bloody heritage.
i dont no what you are saying is true or not but i know one thing that that the hindu and sikh of jalandar misbehaved with muslims and destroy their teritorries

Farhan Sahab, Yes cruelty was done on both sides but please do not forget Muslims asked for a seprate homeland ..so when the sikhs and hindus were attacked and killed in west Punjab it was but natural Jinnah's planned genocide will have repercussions on this side ,,people would invariably, and they do to this day , you asked for a seprate homeland then why don't you go there ? And this was percipitated by looting,plunder of Hindus and Sikh properties in west Pakistan who came with just their clothes on their bodies but with tales of horrors ..and Jullunder was first big town full of Muslims .I do not condone but am trying to find answers for several years and I do believe Jinnah's Direct Action Plan backed by no regret on violence committed this side of Punjab i.e. West Punjab was a silent approval to continue perpetrate the hineous crimes committed by Muslim League in West Punjab .

Killings were perpetrated on both sides but forcible conversions as Muslims always resort to, were never done as a ritual, by Hindus & Sikhs.
BASICALLY IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF MUSLIMS, INFACT THESE MUSLIMS ARE CONVERTS FROM LOWER CASTE HINDUS AND SOME RAJPUTS..THAT IS THE REASON THEY HAVE HOT BLOOD.
APART FROM THAT IN MUSLIM COMMUNITY HIERARCHY/ORDERS/KHALIFA/SUPERIORITY OF HEADS ARE FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL. SO WHATEVER HEAD SAYS IT IS FOLLOWED IN TOTALITY..THEY WILL OBEY COMPLETELY.
MOREOVER CONVERTS HAVE REAL BITTERNESS TOWARDS HINDUS AND THEY FOLLOWED THAT IN ACTION.
IF U SEE EVEN TODAY IN PAKISTAN / IRAQ/ SOME OTHER MUSLIM COUNTRIES ARE STILL FOLLOWED BY HEADS/MASTERS/MAULVIS/RELIGIOUS LEADERS WHO BRAIN WASH AND FILL THEIR POCKETS AND INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE KILLED.
Neharu n jinnah both were criminals.They were mother fuckers........they were hurry to make histry through their name in the country.They did not realized before partion how this decision affect in both nation.I do nt respect neharu and jinnah in any area.That place was peace in British empire.I am not belongs to india and pakistan, i am from nepal but i read a lots of biography and real stories.So i knew alots as indian and pakistani about partition.Today jinnah photo is on currency and neharu photo is on every office of india but I think they were criminals as Al kaida.They killed indirectly for their own prifit

16 AUGUST 1946 DIRECT ACTION DAY , KILLING OF 15000 HINDUS-SIKHS IN CALCUTTA.
THE NAOKHALI 10 TH OCTOBER THOUSAND OF HINDU MASSACRED IN EAST BANGAL
3 JANAUARY 1947 , KILLINGS OF HINDUS AND SIKHS STARTED IN KHABER PAKHTOONVA- ABBATABAD,PESHAWAR,JAMROD.
AND ON 3RD MARCH 1947 AFTER SKIKNDER HAYAT KHAN GOVT RESGINED , THE HEAVY KILLINGS OF HINDUS-SIKHS IN WEST PUNJAB CONTINUES BUT IN NON MUSLIM MAJORITY ,EAST PUNJAB WAS SILENT AND PEACFUL.BEFORE 14TH AUGUST THERE WERE MORE THAN 100000 HINDUS AND SIKHS KILLED BY MUSLIMS IN LAHORE,MULTAN,RAWALPINDI,ATTOCK,JEHLUM,MIANWALI, SIALKOTT,
. IN LUDHIANA, JALLANDHAR,AMRITSAR, AMBALA , HISSAR,GURGAON , MEWAT DISTRICTS.
AFTER 17 TH AUG WHEN MILLIONS OF REFUGEE CAME TO INDIA , THEN HINDU-SIKHS HIT BACK WITH SWIFT ATTACKS.
THIS IS THE REALITY THERE IS LAST ATTACKS ON REFUGEE TRAIN ON 23RD SEPETMBER 1947 AT BEAS RAILWAY STATION WHERE 3000 MUSLIMS MURDERED. SO TEHRE ARE INCIDENTS FROM 17 AUG TO 23 SEPT. BUT ABOUT PAKISTAN IT CONTINUES FORM 3 MARCH 1947 TO 27 JANUARY 1948 ,WHEN A TRAIN LOADED WITH HINDU-SIKH FROM PARACHINAR ATTACKED AT LAHORE STATION.
THE EXACT FIGURE IS 10 LAKH HINDU-SIKH AND 5 LAKH MUSLIM MURDEDRD DURING PARTITION
PLEASE READ IT AS ONE SENTENCE (BEFORE 14TH AUGUST THERE WERE MORE THAN 100000 HINDUS AND SIKHS KILLED BY MUSLIMS IN :- LAHORE,MULTAN,RAWALPINDI,ATTOCK,JEHLUM,MIANWALI,SIALKOTT,LUDHIANA,JALLANDHAR,AMRITSAR,AMBALA , HISSAR,GURGAON , MEWAT DISTRICTS.)
THERE WERE MANY INCIDENTS WHEN MUSLIM ATTACKED HINDU-SIKH IN EAST PUNJAB, INDIA.
AT ONE STAGE HINDU-SIKH WERE READY TO ATTACK PAKISTAN WITH INDIAN ARMY TO SAVE MINORTIES IN PAKISTAN WHICH COULD PRESSURISE PAKISTAN BUT GANDHI-NEHRU-PATEL CHEATED THE NATION
REALLY MUSLIMS HAD JINHA , LIAQAT ALI AND UNFIRTUNATELY WE HAD (GANDHI,NEHRU ).
Yes partition was the saddest thing to happen to both nations.It was a big mistake. I am from Mumbai and I have often gone to the house when Jinnah lived here, stand outside its locked gates and wonder if there was even a conversation in there on maintaining a united India. I guess both Jinnah and Nehru had gotten so ambitious that they both wanted to own a piece of history. If they only knew how the future generations will remember them....
